Creative Cosmos

Creative Cosmos is an exhibit of paintings, prints, weaving sculpture, and digital images that explores how artists respond to the universal cosmic order and are inspired by scientific discoveries. It opens June 20th and runs through Labor Day. The Vermont and New Hampshire artists exhibiting include Sabra Field, Paul Calter, Cameron Davis, Janet Van Fleet, Bhakti Ziek, Marcus Greene, and Jim Robinson.

There will be an Artists talk August 8th 4:30 pm, which I will participate in, and a reception following on August 8th 6-8:30 pm.

Out There

Thanks to Anne Sarcka for letting me use a spare wall in her studio this afternoon to put together a hanging template for my installation Out There, which uses five pieces  built on top of photographs from the Hubble Space Telescope and ten small oil-on-board pieces representing asteroids (or rocks). It will be going to the Chandler Gallery in Randolph for their next show, The Creative Cosmos.

Local 64

I have given two of my Cosmology pieces on long-term loan to Local 64 (a co-working space) in Montpelier, Vermont. They had their grand opening of the new space today from 5-7 PM. Here's Globular Clusters

and Dark Matter in their new spaces:

Emiko Sawaragi Gilbert, my good friend, also put two pieces up, and they look fabulous:
