In the Quick Change Gallery at SPA
I've got three figures in the very cool Quick Change Gallery at Studio Place Arts (it's a repurposed phone booth!). It's called Offerings, because each figure is "offering" something to the viewer (and all of the things offered start with the letter B): a Brush, a Baby, and a Bird. You can also have a look on the SPA website and Facebook page.
And some closeups (all photos courtesy of SPA):
Don't forget that we will be having Open Studios at SPA this Saturday, February 8, from 1-3 PM. Almost all of our studios will be open, so come and visit!

People Hanging on the Wall
After making lots of relatively small-scale figures from found materials, I'm now working on 1/2 to 3/4 lifesize figures using found materials. They also hang on the wall, but they are larger than previous work -- which is a challenge and a delight!
There are twelve of them made so far, though I expect to do some tweaks and changes. They will be exhibited at J. Langdon in Montpelier, opening at the Art Walk on June 5, 2020 -- so there are four months until that happens!
I have the idea that it would be cool to parade them through the streets with music (one "carrier" holding each piece, dressed in black and moving and manipulating the pieces, like puppeteers), winding up at the gallery, where the pieces would be hung one-by-one on the wall, creating the exhibition!
